Week 13 College Football Preview

Last week: 5-0 Season: 22-16

This weeks picks: Penn St, Utah, Orgn St, TX Tech, BC, TCU, Boi St, E Car

Its sounds like a broken record by now but yet again the game of the week is in the Big 12 south.  This game could decide who will end up in the National Championship game. Texas Tech will be going on the road for this big showdown unlike the other ones which were played in Lubbock, TX.  Tech still seems too not get any respect by the odds makers as they are a seven point dog to the sooners.  I wonder if the number two team in the nation has ever been such a big dog.   I think OU will win this game but I am take Tech and the point, hopefully this game will not disappoint like some many others this year.

Week 12 College Football Preview

Last Week: 3-3 Season: 17-16

Weeks Picks: Cinci (-4), Va Tech (+4), USC (-22), OSU (-3), Oregon (-3.5), BYU (-4)

I have to say I am very impressed by the Texas Tech football team.  I really believe there would be a hang over from the prior week and lay an egg vs. Ok State but hey went out and proved they are an elite team.  They still have a couple more tough games but I am stating to believe they can run the table and be in the national championship game.  Then again I wouldn’t be surprised if they lost vs. Oklahoma in two weeks.

Week 10 College Football Preview

This Weeks Picks: Tex (-3.5), Mizzu (-20), FSU (-1.5), Oregon (+3), Fla (-5 ½)

Season:13-9 (59%)

Yet again the top game of the week involves the number one ranked and undefeated Texas Longhorns.  This week they will be facing the high flying Texas Tech offense.  This will be no easy task defeating a really good Tech team which is also undefeated in the Big 12 so far.  If the Longhorns avoid the upset, they will have gone on to win one of the most grueling stretches of conference play I have ever seen.  I think they will be so motivate they will not have a let down and will cover the seven point spread.

Week 8 College Football Preview

Picks: Texas(-6), Kansas(-19), UCONN(+3), Alabama (-13), LSU(-2), Arizona(+2)

Last week: 4-4

Wow that was one crazy week of football we witnessed last weekend.  There were tons of upsets and now with last night lose at TCU we have even fewer number of undefeated teams.  If last weeks games should us anything is that the Big 12 is really good and the SEC might be living off reputation more then actual ability

Picks: Fla(-4), Tex(+7), Mizzu(-13), Neb (+21), UGA(-13), Kentucky(-1), Penn ST(-5), Clem(+3) and Arizona(-6)

This weekend in college football has some very intriguing match ups most notably LSU vs. University of Florida and the Red River Shootout Texas vs. Oklahoma.   These two game pin four National Champion hopefuls, thus after the weekend we shall see who indeed among them really is worthy of a berth to the National Championship game

Recently all I been hearing about is how bad the PAC 10 is this year and how they are not even one of the top two conferences on the West Coast.  This might be a true statement since the Pac 10 has 1 team in the Polls and Wac and Mountain West have five.  That is a scary thought for a fan of the PAC 10.  But it is not all bad and the conference will rebound .

Just picture it: it’s the top of the ninth inning and the Toronto Blue Jays are holding a slim 2-1 lead over the New York Yankees. Up to bat is Derek Jeter with Bobby Abreu and Alex Rodriguez on deck. Cito Gaston, in order to shut the door on the game and the series gets on the phone and brings in the big gun, Pedro Luis Lazo, winner of two Olympic Gold medals with Cuba and current closer of the Blue Jays. And even if he gives up a run its okay, because leading off the bottom of the ninth for the Jays is Alexei Bell, who hit 30 HR with 100 RBI with Santiago del Cuba last year.

According to several blogs, including Baseball Digest Daily, Mark Teixeira is headed to the Angels, in exchange for middling 1B Casey Kotchman and minor-league pitcher Stephen Marek, with perhaps others thrown into the mix.

den death of his father,  Favre passed for 399 yards and four touchdowns on "Monday Night Football" in a blowout win.  Remember on September 30, 2007 Favre passed Dan Marino in most touchdowns with 421 in his house of horror Metrodome against the Vikings.  This can go on for days.  He has so many accomplishments and has showed so much that it would be wrong to remember him by throwing an interception in his final game.

I have never claimed to be an expert when it comes to predicting outcomes of football games, although last year I nearly predicted the exact final score of the Super Bowl while hitting on seven of my nine prop bets. (My prediction was 26-17, the final was 29-17.) For whatever reason I had a very good feel for that game. This year's Super Bowl, however, remains a mystery to me. Part of the reason I am having trouble getting a good feel for this game is that I am a bitter Jets fan and I can't stand either team. I'm finding it difficult to put my personal feelings aside and look at the game objectively. I think right now I am as close to objectivity as I am going to get, and with that being said, here is my official Super Bowl XLII prediction.
